Press statment from Chapel Gallery

"This exhibition focuses attention on the 'Small Things' of life. From the distinct perspectives of eight artists across the UK we are encouraged to consider overlooked points of interest in the world around us.

Works shown include those that contemplate the exquisite character of the traditional miniature, the microscopic examination of our own skin and those inspired by a fascination with the disregarded and forgotten, the commonplace and ignored.

Exhibiting Artists: Judith Alder, Ines Azagra, Beccy Benedict, Ann Bridges, Sarah Chamberlain, Robin Clare, Daksha Patel and Malcolm Tait."

City Of Strangers

by Dana Katzir & Sarah Chamberlain

July 10th 2006 - August 05th 2006
Press statment from Tricycle Gallery

"In the forthcoming exhibition at the Tricycle Gallery two artist photographers take their experiences of the city of London and go beyond the environment of the street and home into a world of intimate encounters with strangers.

From Israel and New Zealand respectively, Dana Katzir and Sarah Chamberlain explore our relationship with strangers through a series of photographic projects portraying real and illusory people living in the closest proximities. Using fictive and actual events, the resulting works present an original narrative set around the modern urban experience.

The exhibition has been co-selected by the Tricycle Selection Committee as part of the Tricycle Open 2006."
